The Staff/Senior Power System Researcher is expected to conduct applied research in one or more of our core areas mentioned above. The researcher will develop innovative algorithms and methods which help address the existing challenges the electric power systems are facing. Some of our software have been deployed in the field and therefore a senior-level researcher is also expected to lead R&D to support the field demonstration of our technology.
Responsibilities
-Lead and conduct applied research in AI, machine learning and IoT, with applications to electric power and energy systems
-Work in a team with software/hardware engineers to develop innovative solutions
-Provide technical support to field deployment of software
-Mentor junior researcher and interns
-Develop proposals and write technical reports
Requirements:
-MS with 5+ years’ experience or PhD with 3+ years’ experience
-Strong Writing and communication skills
-Experience in proposal development
-Experience in writing technical reports
-Track record of publications
-Proficient with at least one of the following programming languages: c/c++, python, java, c#
The Staff/Senior Software Engineer is expected to have the required leadership and technical skills and experience as well as the ability to learn and become productive using new programming languages and technologies.
Responsibilities
-Contribute to a robust home-grown software using the latest Python/Java programming languages
-Work in a team to design and develop software based upon the existing software platform
-Provide support to the field implementation in pilot projects
-Exhibit strong initiative, leadership, and accountability on all projects
Qualifications:
-BS in Computer Science or equivalent
-3+ Years JavaScript (jQuery), HTML 5 and CSS Experience
-3+ Years Java Experience
-3+ Years SQL Experience
-Experience with a JavaScript Framework: Angular, Backbone and/or React
-Experience designing software and writing specifications

- Understanding of power systems dynamics and load modeling
Job Description: We are looking for one intern to work on Optimization and its applications on energy management system for home/commercial building considering distributed and renewable energy resources. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning knowledges are plus.
Key Qualifications:
-Optimization Modeling Tools and Software: GAMS, CPLEX, Gurobi, etc.
-Ph.D. candidate in Power System, Operation Research or related fields.
-Solid knowledge of HEM, BEM, multi-agent system.
-Good knowledge of machine learning is a plus.
